St. Lucia travel St. John
Has anyone ever flown from St. Lucia to St. Thomas? Any recommendations for an airline?
We are heading on our honeymoon and are looking for some advice on the best way to get from St. Lucia to St. Thomas.
Thank You!

Yuk! I mean, sounds like an awesome trip, but I made the mistake of trying kayak.com to see what came up. American Airlines will do that for ya, but for about $1,000!. Are you working with a travel agent? Maybe he/she would have access to a better rate? When are you going? Are you flying into St. Lucia too? And back to where from St. Thomas?

Look at
1) Liat http://www.liatairline.com/
2) St. Thomas' website should have a Transportation/How to get there link.

There are no non-stop or direct flights betweem St. Lucia and St. Ttomas.
JAGIRL is correct you can fly from St. Lucia to St. Thomas on LIAT but it will involve at a connecting flight in Antigua and an intermediate stop in St. Martin. Flight leaves around 7:15 AM and schedule arrival time in St. Thomas is around 12:45. Fare is about $190US PP one-way. Flights do no go every day so you have to check if it's available the day you wat to travel.
You can also take American Eagle but that would entail changing planes in San Juan. Several daily flights to choose with travel time varying from about 4 1/2 hours to about 7 1/2 hours. Fare on American Eagle is around $435 PP one-way.
Keep in mind the more connections and/or stops the small commuter planes make the more chances you might encounter delays. Either way, it is going to be a long trip and invole at least one maybe two intermediate stops with plane changes.
Those two airlines are your only real options.

Thank you all for your help. We are going July 2007. Flying from Detroit to St. Lucia then hoped to fly from St. Lucia to St. Thomas. Then St. Thomas to Detroit. I know it sounds like a lot but I think in the end it would be worth it...
