I had to laugh at your mention of Bradley and one of the hotels there. We also know those early flights out of Bradley. Our next trip is to Curacao, new for us, and we leave around 6AM and the return is around 11:30PM...this will be a killer! I have stayed at the cinder block hotel, where even the alarm clock was chained to the wall!!! But lately we just make the 40 minute drive that morning and leave our car with Picollo. It is hard getting up at 2 to leave by about 3, (husband always allows an hour for a 40 minute drive, and wants to be at the airport 2 hours early even though no one is there at the check-in place!)but it's nice to get to our destination early. I enjoyed your trip report and we will definitely consider St. Kitts. I prefer not to cook or shop for food however, but I admire your ability to get the real flavor of the island. But I still prefer being served my little umbrella drinks, rather than making my own!!!

Since we were going to park our car for over 12 days it was so clse to the same price as Piccolo that we decided to try Holiday Inn Express. I would recommend i to you as well giving you maybe another 90 minutes of sleep with no worries about flat tires etc enroute to the airport in the middle of the night.
I hear what you are saying about liking to dine out and have drinks served. We just don't like to do al of our meals out. If we are lucky enough to have a great view where we are staying we like to take advantage of that too. However when on vacation whatever works is the way to go! Hope you enjoy Curacao!h

Hello Reeder,

Loved your trip report!!!

You are one funny lady. I laughed several times while reading your report.

Sounds like you really got a feel for the island and had a great time.

Sorry the food didn't impress you. I love to try different island food and usual find it great.

Thanks for the report since I have been doing some research on St. Kitts and Nevis for a future trip.

Next stop St Maarten.....
