St. Kitts Marriott Resort & Spa

I have read mixed opinions regarding the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & Spa. Has anyone traveled there recently? The beach is said to be "good" but not "great". Any opinions regarding the beach or the hotel service?
Thanks in advance!

Most reviews on www.tripadvisor.com have been extremely positive about this resort. Typical rating is 4-5 stars out of 5. Check it out for details and pictures.

Hi- I just returned from a 12 day 2 year wedding anniversayr trip with my husband in Nevis (St. Kitts sister isalnd) I thought i would give my opinion although I stayed in Nevis I did take a ferry over to St. Kitts and toured the Marriott. It is a huge hotel with boutiques, a casino, couple bars, 7 restaurants and a gigantic pool w/ swim up bar. After being on Nevis I will have to say that I couldn't wait to get back on the ferry and return to Nevis. We were only at St. Kitts for the day but the people were nowhere near as warm and friendly as they were in Nevis. In fact the staff at the Marriott was rude and had an indifference to your presence so UNLIKE the people of Nevis. I highly recommend you look into the Four Seasons resort in Nevis and just take the ferry over to St. Kitts for the day! I love Nevis-it has a gorgeous resort, fabulous restaurants, great beach with attendants catering to your every need (same with the pool staff-they offer you cool mint towels, a spray of evian to spray on your body to cool you as you soak up the sun, and cold water as often as you desire. Just ask and you shall receive at this resort!), 2 spacious pools -the most comfy lounge chairs in the world(a quiet pool and a family pool- a 3rd pool is currently under construction.) The Nevisian people are amongst the most friendly and embracing people on earth. We felt so at home here and will surely return. I have lots of pictures of Nevis and few of St. Kitts too...maybe I can send you some? Look into specials at the four season or call the Nevis Four Season Resort direct and see what deals they have-IT"S WORTH IT!

Hi! We were in Nevis for 4 day at the end of June and in St. Kitts for the beginning of July. Very different experiences. If you, or someone took a ferry over, I could see why they would have a negative opinion. Having said that, Nevis was great..the people were very friendly..lots to see and do. We stayed at the Marriott in St. Kitts. Awesome staff and great restaurants all around with a short taxi ride. I can see why someone, who had only ferried over would say that the people are rude, but that is NOT the case. We loved each island for different reasons. The beach at the Marriott is great! The main difference in the people, IMO, is that in Nevis, the cab drivers don't take $ until they pick you up and take you back. In St. Kitts, some will do that and some won't...it is a bigger island.
We enjoyed both islands for their unique qualities. Again, the only mediocre service we received at the Marriott was in their own personal shops. Everyone else was great!!!
