Marriott St Kitts vs 4 Seasons Nevis

Planning a trip to St Kitts or Nevis in March with family. Kids are 14, 12, and 9 and like to meet other kids to play with on the beach/pool. They were a bit bored a Caneel Bay in St John, but loved Sands at T&C. Would you recommend Marriott at St Kitts or 4 Seasons Nevis? If Nevis, is it better to be in Villa or resort rooms?

Both resorts are great for families especially with kids the same age as yours. FYI - 4S has one of the best Children's Programs in the Caribbean.

The St. Kitts Marriott has a more "Americanized" vibe and is much larger than the 4S which is also is a much higher end resort. You will pay a premium for that difference.

The Marriott is on the Atlantic side of St. Kitts and even though there are some man-made breakwaters off shore the water can be wavy at times and there are constant sea breezes. The 4S is on the Caribbean side of Nevis and thus will have calmer waters and it will be less breezy.

Whether you stay in hotel rooms or a villa at the 4S is a matter of personal choice. Likewise the Marriott has hotel rooms and multi bedroom housekeeping units they call "villas" but are more like multi-unit condos. No right or wrong answer here, just different options. Regardless of which type of accommodations you choose you'll have full use of all resort facilities.

We stayed at the Four Seasons last year. I have not stayed at the Marriott to cannot directly compare. The Four Seasons had a lot of young kids and we saw them participating in the various programs/activities. Looked like it was very well organized. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Golf course as well as onsite tennis. The restaurants are wonderful as well. Very well balanced for kids and parents and certainly an upscale vide. The employees are very courteous and friendly. Attention to service is obvious from housecleaning, to concierge to beach staff. The beach is beautiful - two separate sections. As you can tell I was quite impressed.

Resort rooms. We faced the mountain - it was a lovely view of Nevis mountain.
