St. John w/ Toddlers

Has anyone rented a house/villa in St. John (with pool) that allows for toddlers? Need a place that will have room for 2 kids (age 1 and 2) and 4 adults - is the Westin our only option?

Wow! I was just going to post the same message. The Westin is a great hotel but would like to know other options also.

Good gravy, NO! St. John has a huge selection of villas. I can't even name them all, but if you search under "St. John USVI", you will come up with tons of sites offering great villas. I recently discovered "Caribbeandays.com" and they have some good deals that I hadn't seen before. The Westin is great for all of its many resort related amenities, and their villas are not outrageous in pricing. There is one site that escapes my memory right now which deals with the Westin villa rentals apart from the Westin itself. I will post again if I get more specific info.

Tuxedocat - I have found tons of villas on my search but most say no children over 4 mo and under 12. I have been looking on Caribbeandays - thanks - it is unclear if they allow for children. Love the Westin - but have been so many times wanted a different location this time! Thanks.

We rented a villa from VIVA and had 3 kids ages 10,7 and 2 with us.We did not have a pool..but did have a jaquzzi.I think that I remember seeing some that did allow children and had a pool.
Good luck!!!

We rented Villa Catalina through Caribbean Villas. Had two families, one 10 month old, one 18 month old. It worked out well. A lot of the villas allow children, most are clearly marked on the websites (www.caribbeanvilla.com, www.cateredto.com etc.). The advantage of a villa over hotel room is that you're not stuck in the same room during naptime, and can be in a separate room watching tv or out on the deck in the evenings. When you call, ask if the villa has sliding doors or other doors that lock so that you toddler can't wander out to the pool area. Catalina worked well--the pool is off to the side of the house, so the toddler didn't really even know it was there, so wasn't tempted.
