Just back from St. John and a year wouldn't be enough. Go to www.caribbean-on-line.com and www.vinow.com for lots of helpful information and good message boards.

Yes, more time would be nice BUT, yes, 4 nts/5days will do just fine. It will give you long enough to fall in love with SJ and see what the fuss is all about. Make sure to get a jeep so that you can really explore SJ and its many beautiful vistas and beaches. You'll have a great time. Good Luck !!

My husband and I did a 5 day/4 night trip last March and it was enough time only because we had been there for 6 days the year before. If it is your first time, I would recommend staying at least 5 nights. That way you have time to do some of the cruises to other islands (if that interests you), spend some time in St. Thomas, and get some R&R in, too.

4 nights 5 days might be enough depending on what you like to do and if you plan to island hop. We just spent 7 days 6 nights in St John, St Thomas and Virgin Gorda. It was our first time so we wanted to see as much as possible. Next time we plan to just stay on either St. John or Virgin Gorda. If you like a lot of outdoor activity (swimming, snorkeling, boating, hiking etc.) 5 days may not be enough. If you just plan to sit back and relax then it may be enough. We were only on St. John 2 days and we figure it would take at least 4 more to see everything we wanted to see, but then again we love to hike.

Kat
