St. Barth's Hotels

Has anyone ever stayed at any of the following?
Le Manoir, Emeraude Plage, Les Ondines

I am open to other hotels, as well.

I was reading the post on the ferry from SXM to SBH and it does sound scary. Does anyone know if there is a flight from Nevis that goes straight to SBH or do you have to go through SXM?

You would have to charter from Nevis, either through a Nevis based company, or St Barth Commuter on St Barts.

The ferry is not scary at all. It can be unpleasant, but there is nothing even vaguely frightening about it.

No scheduled flights between NEV to SBH. You have to change planes in SXM. CaribAir does run charters from NEV to SBH. It will cost you about $1,200.

So, my guess would be that there is not a flight b/n St. Kitts and SBH, as well. Humm....Is that $1200 per person or that is the rate. It doesn't sound too bad, considering we would have a non-stop flight with no layover in SXM.

Thoughts?

IW - see this link, here is the pricing and info.
http://www.candoo.com/carib/SKBRATE/index.html

personallly for that cost I would not do it. Just get to SXM and fly to SBH. I personally always prefer to fly to SBH than take the ferry. The ferry is not scary at all, that is not the issue, if you ever have felt seasick, that is the issue

Of those three hotels I would do Emeraude Plage, due to location...

The $1,200 is for the plane (remember that's an estimate based on what we paid for the trip about 18 minths ago - could be more now). It holds either 6 or 8 passengers (sorry can't remember which. Price is the same whether you are one person or six. FYI - the prices quoted on the link provided by MIM04 are "One Way". If you are not doing a round trip you have to pay for the deadhead flight for the plane to return to it's home base, hence the $1,200 number I provided.

And, sorry there are no scheduled airline flights between SKB and St. Barths. You have to first make your way to SXM than change plane if you want to fly into SBH. Same as from Nevis.

Le Manoir is not near the beach, its inland, small and funky. Emeraude Plage is great for location, and they have just renovated 2 of the buildings, I would try and stay in one of those. Les Ondines has very comfortable units, condo-like. There will be some construction going on near there, so it would depend on when you plan to go. Have you considered La Paillote or Les Islets de la Plage?--

Thanks for the responses. The websites can be so deceiving! I will check out the other hotels.
