Solo Travel
Hey all I was hoping to get some advice regarding travel to the caribbean~
Back in early 2013 I travel to Playa Del Carmen for 2 weeks and had the most fun I have had in my entire life, especially factoring in how much i spent. I Really liked the beaches, the weather, the food and the amount of off resort activity.
Now I am trying to plan a vacation for early 2015. I want much of the same, but I want to go somewhere different. I know you can't get it all..but a younger crowd, activities, nice beaches would fit well.
I have looked into Aruba, St Martin and St Lucia....I was almost sold on St.Lucia but the area I was looking into (Rodney Bay) didn't seem to have much nightlife. I really like the look of the landscape, the tropical jungle, volcano but And it is hard to find anything online about nightlife on some of these destinations
Any thoughts
Thanks in advance

> Not sure where you were looking. It's the liveliest part of the island, although that might still be too tame for some. Negril might be better for you, or Gap/St Lawrence in Barbados. It will not be like PDC though, it is alot quieter.

If you loved Mexico, mainly because of solo nightlife and beaches, then Aruba is a good fit. St Lucia beaches are just okay, what they have is gorgeous scenery.
Nothing wrong with St. Lucia as a destination, I just don't see it for Tommy based on his op. Aruba has nightlife, turquoise water, tons of water activities, and public transportation.
Funny thing-- I've traveled the world solo. And my favorite places are not what you're looking for!
No if you want beaches with tons of fun nightlife, consider Mykonos and Ibiza! But mainly in the summer, they're cold in winter.
Another you must consider, Mexico is a budget destination (and you get a lot for your money). The rest of Caribbean is at it's most expensive January thru may 1. About twice what you would normally spend May thru November.

Yeah if I were traveling in the summer I would probably goto a place like Mykonos but I am planning for next February.
I am guessing the Palm Beach area on aruba is what I am looking for?
