Snorkeling Spots in Puerto Rico

We'll be in PR March 9-15 and we love to snorkel. What are the not to be missed places to snorkel? We have our own equipment and we'll have a rental car so any recommendations on the main island would be greatly appreicated. We'd also do any excursions that would be worth it.
Thanks,
Amy

there are people who can answer, give it a little time!
are you considering a day trip to vieques or culebra? the snorkeling may be better there. there may be some day trips out of fajardo as well. i know i have seen them advertised in the tourist magazines. see if you can google something like that...
enjoy

We did a day tour from Fajardo to Iacos and Palaminitos. They weren't bad, but very high traffic and lots of coral damage.

We also did the day trip with Abe's Snorkeling on Vieques. I would highly recommend the biobay, but not the full dat trip. At all.

Thanks Soggydollar! I first posted 2/17 and I leave this Friday morning so can't wait much longer for a reply.

Thanks cocontom! I really hope we get to do the biobay. I'm hoping when we get there the boat will be repaired with Eastwind.

littlehouse, sorry you did not get much of an answer to your origingal post. If you can get over to vieques for a day, or overnight to do the bio bay thing-it would be worth it for you. the moon is great right now and for the next week or 2 for viewing the bio bay. you may find better snorkeling on vieques as well.
abe's comes highly recommended for snorkeling trips. there are also a few companies here that take people out snorkeling.
good luck and have a wonderful trip
