We stayed at the Rosedon last year and really enjoyed it. We took our two boys, they were the only children there. We had a room upstairs in the main house. The room next to us is the one on the website with the four poster bed and the red toile bed covering. It was very pretty. The staff was so friendly. We had breakfast every morning on the front porch as well as afternoon tea. It is a quiet place. All the other guests were so friendly. I would stay there again.

Is there anyone that has anything good to say about the wyndham? I really hope so, as I am going there this Thursday. A friend is getting married on Friday and I am a witness...(I was kinda hoping to meet a nice gentleman or two also lol)...Sounds like only families and couples.

Well, Breezes, I don't know if you'll find anyone to vouch for the Wyndham, BUT, I don't think anyone would be negative about going to Bermuda on Thursday, regardless of the accommodations. It's a great location, and surely you'll have a wonderful time. I don't know about meeting other singles, but you could check out the Fairmont, or have a long lunch in a golf clubhouse perhaps...
How about if you post an updated review when you return? Hopefully, you'll have something good to say!

For folks thinking about Bermuda, I've been to Bermuda twice and absolutely loved it both times. Saw the Wyndham/Sonesta and agree it is in a great location close to Church Bay where there's good snorkeling, but did not stay there. Elbow Beach is a gorgeous stretch of beach but no real snorkeling. Grotto Bay is close to the airport (don't know if that impacts it much) and looks nice enough. The worst part about Bermuda is the fact that you can't rent a car. You can rent mopeds but that is not a good idea for many people. Consequently, it does tend to matter more so than in other places which facility you're staying at and where it is located. We did finally get the hang of the public bus/shuttle system which saved us a mint on taxis. We first went to Bermuda a long time ago (14 years?) and stayed in a bed and breakfast in Hamilton. It was inexpensive yet romantic. Second time (5 years) we rented a house on the water. Awesome. Loved the privacy and the independence. Bermuda is definitely not the Caribbean but offers (at least 8 months of the year) many of the same type of beautiful, warm water and great beaches. It is a different flavor for sure (I find it more refined, a bit more serious kind of fun). If you're reading this Christie, you should definitely book yourself (and maybe even your hubby) a quickie trip to Bermuda as a relaxing, adults only trip. Although you just came back from St. John (Paradise to me), it sounds like you could definitely use one of those "Bermuda Shorts."
