Sharks, Jellyfish and other dangers that lurk at sea

Hey, everyone, lets ease up a bit. To be honest, we could debate Decent Tropical's intentions for months, and while an interesting debate to some, no one would really know the truth. The way I look at it, if he spent the time on these boards, he deserves our advice. Reading and responding to posts on this board are completely optional. I'm a 38 year old male, and I like to look at these boards because I love the islands, and I want to help others make the most of it. If I'm suckered in occasionally from some falsified individual, that is the extremely small price I pay (Decent Tropical - this is NOT a reference to you....I believe that most of us are good, and you've given me no reason to think otherwise).
P.S. Watch out for jellyfish.

What I'd like to know is which islands Decent has been to. He has a tremendous amount of information and asks a lot of questions. What island/islands are you planning to visit in the future? Or are you just amassing info here and on the other sites?

Back to the subject on this thread.....
common sense goes a long way on being safe in the water. I have dove in various parts of the carribean and most of the time it is the humans who cause me greater consern than the sea life.
Like the "certified" diver who hated to clear the water from her mask and refused to show the dive masters that she could perform this skill.....I sure don't want to be her "buddy" at 60 ft.
Let me share the bar with "Elvis", the
4ft barracuda in Provo, who likes to hang out under the boat. He may look imposing when he's 5-6 feet away but I
have more faith in him than a lot of people. Just don't wear anything shiny. Just enjoy the view...it's a whole different world down there!
