Runaway Hill Club?

Hi - considering staying at Runaway Hill on Harbour Island, however not until next spring, I plan way in advance. Anyway, wondering if they offer beach and/or pool service - cocktails/lunch. I know, we can always walk, and I've read we should try Sip Sip among others, but there's something about being on vacation and having someone bring you your beverages! Thanks!

I don't think any of the resorts on island have beach service, maybe Pink Sands but I've actually never seen it while there.

Runaway Hill is still small, with probably 12 rooms and a lovely decor and right on the beach.

There was always an honor bar, so you could get what you wanted from the bar to take down to the beach. Don't know if that is still the case.

Breakfast and dinner are always offered and you can request lunch or head downtown to Miss Mae's or Arthur's. If you walk down the beach to Coral Sands the conch burgers are legend.

Hope this helps.

Just returned from Runaway Hill, and there is no beach/pool service there... or at any of the other resorts that I noticed. They do have an Honor Bar that is open at all times where you just make your own drinks and record it each day. They do offer breakfast and dinner. Some of the other resorts do offer lunch.

L, good stuff..thanks...which rest was the dinner plate from?

would you consider staying at Rock House? I like RH due to closer to the beach!

You said you only rented cart for 2 days..could you walk to everything otherwise?

Our girlfriend getaway to Harbour Island in May was absolute perfection. Runaway Hill is a serene, beautiful oasis situated on a gorgeous beach with service if you needed it coupled with peace and tranquility. The property is beachfront with a plantation-like garden of trees, shrubs and flowering bushes. We stayed in a villa and loved every minute of it. The service was excellent.

It is an honor bar system during the day and either Ryan or Jasmine arrives around 4 o'clock for happy hour. There is no beach service to speak of and bringing a small cooler with drinks is certainly the way to go. Our meals at RH were superb (breakfast & dinner) and our days spent on the beautiful, stunning beach were amazing.

We rented the golf cart for the week and experienced fantastic meals every day whether from a local, family-owned place or a five star resort....both equally wonderful. The island is small and walking is not a problem as long as you are used to the heat, we went in July and it was hot....taxi's are also available.

We returned to Rock House for lunches and dinners as the resort is gorgeous, the staff were fun and of course the food was amazing. This resort is not on the beach, situated overlooking the marina, guests are permitted to use Sip Sip's beach which is a five minute walk.

We loved Harbour Island so much that when we were at Staniel Cay in July, we took a private charter over to HI to spend the night at Runaway Hill.....now that was a dream vacation!!

We met amazing people, enjoyed every single place that we ate at and had the time of our lives.

The Out Islands are incredible....we will definately return!
