Rooms without locks at Biras Creek

I have heard that you are not given room keys because the doors do not lock at Biras Creek. Is this true? I've heard this is true for Little Dix as well. I find it strange to pay around $6000 to stay at a high end resort and not be able to lock my door when I leave.

Not a problem. I am a generally anxious person, and dealt well with the absence of locks. Rooms do have a small safe with removable key.

Most of the resorts we have stayed at do not offer room keys, Biras being one of them as well as Galley Bay, Palm Island, Meridian Club, etc. All offer in-room safes which work perfectly. . .

Really not a problem. With the room safe your valuables(wallets, jewlery, etc., etc.) can be placed in the box and you just carry the key. A large underwater camera camera would have a problem in the box at Biras but not much else.

Another question please. I think I remember someone saying that guests have left read books. I'm trying to go "light". Anyone know? Sure hope the weather clears before next week!! They are receiving much needed rain. Thanks, Owa

There are books at Biras Creek. Our room had 12-15 books stored near the minibar. I brought by own, so I did not go searching for others, but I recall that there was a small library, as well.

We never have the need to lock rooms or the villa on VG - each room has a small safe for valuables such as passports but we use it mostly for a place that we know we've left stuff there so things like passports don't blow away in the breeze.

We just returned from Biras. No need for room locks and yes, you can use the safe. I love the new cottage decor and the beds and linens are excellent. Living room chairs are so comfy.

It rained off and on, but cleared to mostly nice skies.
