Restaurants on St. John

Leaving soon for a week in St. John. Does anyone have any favorite restaurants to recommend for lunch and dinner? Am interested in finding out about reasonably priced but good places and also the higher-priced, fabulous places. Thanks!

High priced restaurants would be the one at Caneel Bay that allows non guests, Asolare which overlooks Cruz Bay and Chateau.... which is on the way to Coral Bay but high on a mountain- haven't eaten at any of them but have heard great reports if you don't mind $$$$$. Our favorites are the Lime Inn, Cafe Roma and Fish Trap in Cruz Bay and shipwreck Landing in Coral Bay for lunch- skinny Legs in Coral Bay also has a good reputation. Have fun.

Have not been to Asolare, but understand the
food and the view are awesome. Lime Inn has
all you can eat shrimp night, I believe on Wednesdays for approx 17-18 $$ Well worth it!
Woodys, within a block from the ferry landing is
a fun place. Burgers, beer, fresh dipped onion rings and coconut shrimp.
Just came back from St John in March and my
waistline still shows it. Email if I can answer any
questions.
Sherri
The restaurants mentioned in the two previous posts are very good, and you should definitely visit them. Another good one is Paradiso -- my husband's favorite. It's located in Mongoose Junction in Cruise Bay. Another nice, reasonable lunch spot is Global Village in Mongoose Junction. Also, Stingray Cafe in Wharfside. Have fun!

I second the Lime Inn.. It's the best place on the island. They are closed for the month of September though. Their lobster is to die for!
The Lime Inn is a must. Dress casually. All the previous comments on Lime Inn is correct. In season reservation is necessary or you may have a waiting period of 1 or more hours. Also great for dinner is Morgan's Mango. The food is simple excellent. Reservations is a must on or off season. Enjoy St. John, is the best in the USVI.
All the above posts have covered just about every eating spot I can recall on the island except two. In Coral Bay there is a nice place just down the road from Shipwreck Landing its called Sera Fina and has good food, its open air and located right on the beach. One other spot good for lunch only, can't remember the name , but its a little stand with tables & chairs next to St. John car rental. They have the best chicken & ribs on the island. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!
