Has anyone rented a car & drove around the island of Turks & Caicos Provo?
Has anyone rented a car and drove around the whole island of Turks and Caicos Providenciales?
If so, how long does it take? About the whole day?
I've been to St. Martin/St. Maarten and was able to drive around the island with no problem. Just want to find out if it is the same.
What would you advise?
Thanks!

Renting a car is easy but they drive on the left. If you wish to drive round the Island without stopping you can do this in a day but if you wish to explore it will take you 2 days.
T & C best feature is Grace Bay, maybe 1 of the most beautiful beaches in the world and most resorts are either on this beach or within walking distance. Cabs are freely available so you can manage without a car.

i actually prefer driving on the "wrong" side
top speed is 45 - not that the locals don't go faster on the main road. much less traffic than st. martin.
if you just want a quick look around you could probably do it in a half day but agree with carol if you want to stop & check stuff out, go for a swim at different beaches, check out restaurants, etc you could spend several days.
here's a good map:

from the airport to club med using leeward hwy is under 30 mins.

We used Grace Bay Car rentals. Had our car at the airport and we returned it there. Nice folks to work with. Found the island fairly easy to get around. BUT be aware that some roads aren't really marked so use a map.
