Puerto Rico Wedding

I am trying to plan on where to go in Puerto Rico for a beautiful beach and quieter environment for a nice wedding. Anybody have any ideas of where I should go to get married? Also, when is the best time to go?

You'd probably want to go to a resort with its own beach for ease and privacy. El Conquistador and Rio Mar are possibilities, about 45 minutes from San Juan. Maybe match your personality with places, too. I just loved Old San Juan and there might be possibilities of somewhere along the beautiful Paseo de la Princesa promenade in Old San Juan. There were some beautiful beaches in Vieques. Very easy flights on Vieques Air Link, fast and pretty cheap. Check out some of the hotels there. Vieques might be a place you'd like if you enjoy laid-back places. Some lovely, secluded spots. During the summer, the flamboyan trees bloom, and they are stunning!!! I am including a link for my photos from trip I just finished a few days ago. This includes photos from San Juan (Ritz Carlton, Old San Juan, Santurce), Vieques and El Yunque and the Rio Mar resort. Good luck!

I agree that Vieques is a good site. For even more photos
you can check out my website at http://sites.google.com/site/NoManchanilla

Also, you should check out Villa Montana, which is a somewhat secluded resort in the Northwest part of Puerto Rico, near Isabel.

Best Wishes on your upcoming wedding, Valerie

These are very good recomendations, Vieques is very lovely and has beautiful beaches. I've gone to wedding at Rincon (Rincon Beach Resort http://www.rinconbeach.com/)and Isabela (Villa Montaña http://www.villamontana.com/). The best time to plan is for early summer to avoid Hurricane season, November or February. Although we have nice weather year round, you will want to stay clear of hurricanes or cold fronts if you plan an outdoor wedding. I've seen grand weddings at the Conquistador Hotel in Fajardo (http://www.elconresort.com/), they have their own little Island (Palomino Island) which they hold weddings. I can also think of the Ritz Carlton which has a very pretty pool area that will hold a wedding and also has access to the beach.
Congratulations on your wedding!

I think the Horned Dorset in Rincon would make a lovely location for a wedding.
