Phone from Atlantis??
Will be going to Atlantis soon. What is the best and cheapest way to call home? Local phone card purchase? I know NEVER to use hotel room phone to call. Ridiculous charges!! Thanks so much.

When we have been to other islands, I have always purchased a pre-paid phone card and use it from a pay phone. We just returned from St. Kitts and Nevis and could buy a $10,20 or 30USD card to use from the hotel. Great connection. Also, some cell phone companies have an international chip or something (I'm not very technical) to add to your phone for the time that you are away and it can be removed upon your return. Hope this helps. My MOL loves the Atlantis.

I found out the hard way at Atlantis to buy a local calling card. Got home and about passed out at my phone bill, since I tried to use my card from home and they wouldnt take it.
If you call Atlantis direct they are a great help.

Purchase a Batelco or Indigo calling Card when you arrive in Nassau - you can get them at the gift shop or at the pharmacy. You'll have to use them from the pay phones in the lobby. Make sure you check the instructions on the phone. Some phones need you to press the # when your call is connected in order for you voice to be heard.
