Not much difference...Nassau and Paradise are connected by a bridge and you can travel between the two easily by cab or on foot. Paradise is a little quieter. I would recommend just picking the resort you want rather than narrowing it down between Nassau resorts and Paradise resorts.

No doubt about it.....ONLY Paradasie Island....
preferably the Ocean Club.....Been there many
many times and just thought magnificent...In fact
when we were there so was Robert Wagner and his
daughters.....I understand that now that they
have new owners, it is quite expensive.....but...
it is postitively absolutely worth it.....
Been to many Caribbean islands, and I just LOVE
Paradise Island. You must, however, take the meal
plan otherwise it will cost a fortune...

Any other questions, please feel free to e-mail...
If you go, have a wonderful time and good luck...
By the way, we are leaving for Eleuthera in June..

Have Fun!!

Check if the construction between Atlantis and the Club Med is complete before you choose Paradise Island. We were there last August and it was a mess! Lots of dirt in the air, the roads all muddy and rutted from the heavy machinery. It looked like a really big project,a new resort, it might not be complete yet. Have a great time, plan on lots of side trips.

Karen: It's hard to chose which island; they're actually one connected by a bridge. My wife and I have been to Nassau many times on island hops to the outer, friendly islands in the Bahamas. We always stayed at the old British Colonial hotel in downtown Nassau. It is 9 acres of lush grounds, with a beautiful beach, a large fresh water pool, and a diving operation on the premises. They could take you snorkeling to great Bahamian shallow coral reefs. The British Colonial has plush rooms and are well-cleaned daily. The "BC" as the bahamians call her, is lower priced than the other higher priced hotels which have casinos. Two summers ago, my wife and I stayed there in July for $90/day($110.00/day out the door) and had a great time. It's only a 2 minute stroll to the straw market on Bay Street. Inexpensive eateries are right across the street. On its beach you can see the cruise ships docking into Prince Edward's Wharf. Check out the old "BC", which was bought up by Sheraton hotel chain years ago, but it still has its island soul. have fun, Bob Morton

Go to Cable Beach!!! I have stayed in Paradise Island and Nassau, neither place was that enticing and relaxing. If you want to have some romance and quiet, check out Cable Beach. Much better place to be and very beautiful.
I haven't been to Bahamas; isn't Cable Beach and Nassau the same place?

I have stayed at the Atlantis on Paradise Island and really loved it. There was a lot to do, and you could easily go into Nassau by boat (for a couple of dollars), by foot, or by cab. Everyone told me how expensive the restaurants were, but I didn't find it too different from other Carribean islands. As well there is a small grocery store close by, so you can buy snacks, or items for cooking your own meals if you like. We usually ate brunch at the hotel, and then not again until supper. You have quite a variety of restaurants to go to in the hotel or in Nassau, and in all price ranges. I really enjoyed it, and would stay again on Paradise Island. Feel free to e-mail if you have further questions.
I was reading your reponse about Nassau or Paradise
Island. I too will be cruising there for the first time late fall. Also, first cruise. Can you tell me if there really is a Hard Rock Cafe or Planet Hollywood? Of course, that's the only gifts that the kids want. Also, any other info would be great.
We will only be in Nassau for about 18 hours. thanks
