Palm Island or Antigua or..

I would suggest you head for Palm Island than take a water taxi directly to Union Island and hop on the ferry and go to either St. Vincent or any of the other Grenadine Islands. There is absolutely nothing to do on Palm Island. However if you are looking for nothing to do but lie on the beach and sun yourself or create your own entertainment you might enjoy it. I guarantee you it will only last two days at the most, then you will be bored to tears. It is a privately owned island. there are no good restaurants to try out there. But as I said it is very easy to get to the other islands from there.

I have not stayed a Palm Island, but I haved stayed in Bequia, the first and largest (7 sq miles!) of the Grenadines. The Grenadines are breathtakingly beautiful. Sailing trips are a must as well as a visit to Tobago Cays. Bequia was relaxed without being boring, I think Palm Island would be lower key than that.
I never have been to Antigua, but it is much more populous and touristy, so it depends on your cup of tea.
If you have any questions don't be afraid to E-Mail me.

Visited Palm Island on a Windjammer cruise last month. I definately would go back to both Palm Island and Bequia. There's no way I'd get bored on Palm--reading, eating, snorkeling, sailing.....what more could you ask for? If you have a need to be entertained, it's not for you! It would be a nice place from which to island-hop!

The three places you mention are entirely different. If you want a Club Med atmosphere, don't consider the other two. If you want a conventional British type of destination go the St. James Club. If you want peace and quiet go to Palm Island. It depends on what you want. Of your choices we would pick Palm Island without question. We enjoyed a week there a few years back and liked it much better than Young Island where we spent another week. We would go back to Palm Island, but it is not for everyone. Petit St. Vincent is another resort you might consider if you want lovely tranquility.
