Non-stop flight from Indianapolis to anywhere in the Carribean?
We are taking our son away for his 16th birthday in February and he loves to snorkel but his mother hates to fly. We are looking for a nice destination that we can fly to non-stop from Indianapolis. Any suggestions?

There are no non-stop flights to the Caribbean from Indianapolis. If you are willing to take a cruise, then you might ahve a few options. You could fly non-stop to NYC and then take a cruise to the Bahamas, though it might be a bit cold to snorkel at that time of the year. Maybe there's a nonstop to Miami or Fort Lauderdale or Tampa, and you could hop on a cruise ship there. Your only hope is probably American.

It might be your best bet to get out through the American hubs at St. Louis or Chicago. American Eagle just about owns the Caribbean so you might as well start with American: it will be cheaper in the long run. Once you get to Miami or San Jaun you're a short flight away from the islands. I would suggest Grand Cayman or St. Kitts if your wife dislikes flying. They fly 737s out of Miami to those islands. The inter-island flights out of San Juan are American Eagle ATRs. Then again, why not consider a direct flight to Puerto Rico? It's the U.S. so there is no hastle with pasports and there is lots to do, a wonderful culture and a big, exciting island to explore.
