Nevis hotel help
We want to combine a trip to Nevis with a few days at Cap Jauluca and St. Barts (know it sounds like a lot, but we've got 3 weeks..big anniversary trip). Both Nisbet Plantation Beach Club and the Hermitage look lovely and I'm wondering if it might not be a good idea to divide my time between the two. Anyone familiar with both?

I am familar with both properties.
They are similar in service and amenities. The main difference is that Nesbit is on the beach and Hermitage is up on the foothills of Mount Nevis.
If you don't mind not being on the beach, I would suggest Montpelier Plantation. Similar to Hermitage, but Philip is an incredible chef and Montpelier is more accessible to town and the beaches.

We stayed at Nisbet Plantation in the summer of 2000 and it was great! The friendliest service I have ever experienced. An incredible 5-course dinner every night. And a wonderful location on the beach. Nevis is a wonderful island, VERY friendly people. (By comparison, we went to Anguilla this summer and loved it, the beaches were incredible, but the people of Nevis seemed more outgoing to us - people in Anguilla were friendly but rather reserved.)

Barbara,

My husband and I were married at the Four Seasons in Nevis. We stayed there for 10 incredible days and it was pure heaven! The food was outstanding and the service was terrific. We were trying to make it back there for our 10 year wedding anniversary but ended up at the JW Marriott on Oahu (just returned two days ago). Sooner or later we will make it back to Nevis.

The island of Nevis is wonderful and it's nice to take the hotel's launch to St. Kitts for a day and tour that island as well.

Enjoy!

Dianne
