have you ever been on a cruise? fly to ft. lauderdale or miami and you have so many choices, and the rates are so reasonable!
we just booked a princess cruise out of san juan to the southern car. for $872/pp for a balcony cabin. just a thought...

To be honest, this time of the year, you can go to almost any island in the Caribbean for your price. Prices are now at their absolute lowest of the year. Plus, the interests you list are so vague that they'd probably apply to vitually every island but Saba, Statia, and Dominica.
If you want an AI, look at the Cancun/Cozumel/Riviera Maya area, Dominican Republic, or Jamaica.
Puerto Rico would certainly meet your needs, as would St. Thomas.
You will run a risk of a hurricane in almost all these places, however.
If you want the least chance of encountering hurricanes, look at Bonaire, Aruba, and Curacao (Aruba has the bset nightlife, as mnag points out).

We have been to a number of the islands, and have recently returned from island hopping around Grenada, St Kitts and Antigua.
On Grenada we stayed in a reasonable 4* hotel resort (the Rex), in St Kitts we stayed in the 5* Marriott and in Antigua we rented a villa in the Jolly Harbour Villa Resort.
If you want to laze by the pool, drink at the swim up pool bar, enjoy the beach, go to the on-site casino, then St Kitts maybe for you.
If you want more variety, more restaurants, more beaches, more excursions (we chartered a helicopter and flew over to Barbuda for the day) then Antigua maybe for you.
If you are also looking for privacy, dedicated service to go along with your romance, then a villa rental maybe for you.
We loved Grenada, there is lots to see and do. We went to most of the water falls, did the river rapids excursion and spent many a day snorkling.
There was a villa complex not far from the Rex that we visited called Maca Banna villas, which is also featured in the Luxury Vacations website -www.luxuryvacationsvillas.com - which seems to satisfy all of your requirements.

I answered too soon! I looked it up: choices are:
Aruba
Curacao
Cancun
Alcapulco
Cabos
Caymans
of course, Bahamas (Most of them, including Out Islands)
If you're trying to use FF points, I would base choice on what's available. I assume this because you're very specific as to the airline. It might be too late to cash in this way!

We loved Curacao! In October you would be out of the hurricane belt. Lots of beaches, although they are more cove-like, the swimming is good. Great restaurants all around the island. If you want to relax on the beach, you certainly can, but the upside is that there are many things for you to do during the day as well. We found Curacao to be romantic and there are enough 20 something people around to find a decent nightlife.
