Need island easy to get to.

My widely scattered family want to meet somewhere for my elderly parents anniversary in June. My brother's family will be coming from New York, my husband & I will be coming from Dallas and our parents will be coming from Chicago. The dilema is what island can you fly to directly from Chicago and New York? I don't care if I have to transfer, but my parents & brother want a direct flight. Also, we would be interested in renting a reasonable three bedroom villa for all of us. Requirements: beach, snorkeling Any ideas? Thanks

The Bahamas are about 3 hrs. from Chicago. Once we actually got there in 2.5 hrs. take off to touch down. The pilot said we just caught a wind and literally blew in. There are also direct flights to Jamaica. Go to the apple vacations catalog and check it out. Should be lots of choices.

YOu should be able to get to Puerto Rico and St. Thomas from those cities, non-stop on American Airlines.

Jamaica - a million villa options there also, mostly with cook, maid, etc.

Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman Island. What a beautiful beach with great snorkleing, prettiest beach I've ever seen.

Jamaica is out because my brother has already been there & wants to try somewhere different. Are there reasonable villas in the Caymans?

Yes, try Cayman Villas, Cayman Kai or Cayman Vacations... all have web sites.

You can also rent a 2BD and 1BD side by side at The Reef (if you like
