Luxury Resort with Baby?
Hi..I am that you all can help me decide upon a luxury resort where I can travel with a 6 month old. I would like to pick some where there will be other children, and not only honeymooners (obviously it is no fun for them). We love to travel to luxury resorts, and are hoping that we still can with a young child, but many of the ones I'm interested in don't allow children. Does anyone have any suggestions, experience, advice on where to find a place? Thanks for helping to cure my wanderlust! Hilary

Hi,

We traveled to St Lucia and stayed at the Windjammer Inn when our son was about 8 months. The room was wonderful, the grounds beautiful, the people super friendly and the food was good. If my memory serves me right, they have 3 restaurants and two pools. They have hotel rooms and condos. The resort has a small beach and kids club. they also have babysitting available. We did not take advantage of either the club or sitting. The only downside for us was it was not a direct flight. Not too fun with a baby, but doable. I would definitely stick with luxury hotel with baby. Originally we were booked at the Club St. Lucia, OMG, it was disgusting. Transferred to the Windjammer and was pleasantly surprised. Oh yeah, and we went all inclusive. Good luck.
Hi Hilary,
Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda is very upscale and is kid-friendly. It is a five star resort (only 100 rooms) and has some of the best beaches in the world.
I know they have an activity program for toddlers and are accepting of children of any age.

Peter Island Resort, BVI; Cap Juluca and Mallioiaha, Anguilla; Cuisinart, Anguilla; Jumby Bay, Antigua; Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos; Four Seasons, Nevis; Little Dix (virgin gorda) and Caneel (st.john's); some of the Elegant Resort chain on Barbados - not sure which ones have gone child-happy!
