Lots of Questions--PLEASE HELP
My wife and I are planning our first trip to the Caymans in April. We will be staying at the Westin because we can stay there for free with Starwood points. My questions are:
1. How far of a drive is it to Georgetown?
2. We like to eat at casual outdoor restaurants--are there many such places on SMB or Georgetown?
3. I am trying to learn what the pool at the Westin is like. I can't find any good pictures of it. If you stayed there, please tell me if it is very tropical, does it have a swim up bar, does it have a waterfall, is it deep or shallow, does it get very crowded?
THANKS.

Robtn, re the pool: I did a search on google.com for images, for westin grand cayman pool. The first image that came up was this:
http://www.caymanvacations.com/index...stin.htm&2
Copy and paste that into your browser. Scroll down the page, and you will see a great shot of the pool. The text describes both waterfalls and a swimup bar. I love google!
P.S. Perhaps you should re-post with a better title...something like Westin Grand Cayman. You may get a better response that way. Have fun!

Hi.
1)The drive to Georgetown is approx. 15 min. depending on traffic.
2)There are many casual outdoor restaurants.

3)No waterfalls in the Westin pool. The picture that was posted earlier shows what one side of the pool(near the swim up bar) is like. The other side is identical minus a bar. If memory serves me correctly it's not deeper than 4ft.The 2 hottubs are on opposite ends of the pool. As for crowds it really depends on time of year and if there's a convention taking place.
It's a beautiful place!

10 minute drive to G-town. Some good outdoor restuarants...
The Reef Grill (excellent food), Smugglers Cove, Coconut Joes, The Tree House.
We stayed next door at Villas of the Galleon, but I did walk through the Westtin. Great beach, nice pool. You made a great choice!

We stayed there about 8 years ago...you'll love it ! Beach is beautiful, good snorkling off the beach, town is just 10 min away. By all means do the dinner catamaran cruise . I think it was by Red Sail sports...good food, cash bar, fantastic view.
