Did find a hotel to take 5 in a room--the Marriott Crystal Palace will do so in a suite. Can you tell me about this resort. Seems like the next most luxurious to Atlantis which is out of the question for a family our size. Please let me know. Thanks.

We were not impressed with the Marriott. The beach was just about non-existent and the people from Nassau Beach Hotel get to use the facilities at the Marriott so VERY crowded. Liked the Radisson next door MUCH better. GORGEOUS beach and very good restaurants.

KATHY-- I just booked a room at Comfort Suites for $145/night rather than $250.night at Atlantic. Comfort Suites is across the street from the Atlantis with its own pool, bar, continental breakfast every morning, AND access to all of the amenities of the Atlantis. You get the Atlantis wrist band when you arrive. A great way to go, at a much lower rate.

Thank you both for your response regarding Comfort Suites and Radisson. I actually tried these two resorts first, would love to stay at Comfort Suites so I can go to Atlantis. They won't allow me to stay with 5 in room. Radisson will not either. I am considering the Nassau Beach Hotel, and then use facilities at Marriott if I wish. I wish I had better options, but it seems I don't.

Am seriously considering getting married in Nassau or Paradise Island, but don't want to do the Sandals deal. Looked into Ocean Club and Atlantis- both very expensive. Any ideas on a nice site and/or a resaurant that would be elegant for a reception of about 25 people? A Bahamian reccomended the public (Angosturia?) gardens there (and have catering brought in, which is evedently OK) Would appreciate your notes. Thanks Much

Lucky, you mean the Ardastra Zoo and Gardens? Not sure if that is what you meant. There is a beautful Botanical Garden, on Bay St, a ways from downtown and on the way to Cable Beach that might work for you.

I would also recommend staying at Compas Point. There is a restaurant there that might fit your needs or try the Cafe Matisse. Also the Poop Deck has banquet rooms that would probably work.

The Marriott and the Raddison have beautiful banquet rooms and the Raddison has wedding packages so you might try there.

Good luck and if you need any other info on Nassau, just let me know [email protected]

tweedy

Lucky,

I am getting married next summer on Paradise Island/Nassau. I am having an intimate wedding with 20-25 guests. My wedding coordinator suggested some great sites for the ceremony and reception. The wedding will be in the Classical Gardens on Club Med's property and dinner at Graycliff (sp?), which is five star. I am very satisfied with my decision. It also helps to have a good coordinator whom doesn't mind emailing digital photos of the sites. I hope this helped! Good luck!

nichole

A group of 10 is going down november 2nd...we are undecided on where to stay...we want an all inclusive for 3 nights but don't feel like paying a $1000. We were given the marriott and the sheraton....$886 is final cost...not bad. Do you feel one is nicer than the other or could you even suggest something else on the island, your time is appreciated...thanks.
