Just got back from Almond Beach Village, any questions?

Should anyone have any specific questions concerning the Village or the Club, ask away.

I am planning a 6 night get away for a family of eight. We have narrowed it down to Almond Beach, Beaches Negril, Jamaica and Atlantis in the Bahamas. My kids range from 1 - 14. Can you give me your recommendation based on your experiences and research as to which you would choose and why? Thanks!!!

Hi Gary,

My wife and I are looking for a romantic, luxurious vacation spot. We've heard mixed things about ABC and ABV. How were the rooms, the atmosphere and the food? This is our first trip alone after having a baby, so we're looking for some peace and quiet. What do you think?

Hi - We spent a week in October at Almond Beach Village. It was nice but not up to the par of accomodations/service/meal quality that we expect when paying so much money. I much prefer Beaches Negril for a family vacation. At Atlantis, the accomidations should be nice if you get the new tower, but you'll be "nickeled & dimed" everywhere so it'll get super pricey with your large group. I'd definately opt for the all-inclusive hotel. Did you price Beaches Turks & Caicos...it gets great reviews. As for Jonathon - don't go to a family all-inclusive without your baby...you'll miss him/her too mcuh and Almond Beach Club is soooo small and cramped. Try a Sandals or go "ala carte" at a non all-inclusive property.

I'm thinking of going there for my honeymoon in June 2001. Would you recommend it - are the basic rooms OK?

Planning an all-inclusive trip for my family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 9,12,15). We seem to have narrowed it down to Wydham Morgan Bay in St. Lucia or Almond Beach Village in Barbados. They do not need a supervised children's program. Beaches Turks and Caicos sounds wonderful but extremely expensive in Canadian funds. Do you have any recommendations. We are going in the beginning of January. Many thanks! Signed "confused"
