Jacketwatch/cruise forum

Jacketwatch,

I've been reading the cruise forum, as I was curious to see how people felt about FEMA leasing the Carnival ships.

I just wanted to give you a *thumbs up* for your comments there. You've been eloquent and thoughtful, while always being a gentleman.

For anyone to think that a racial undercurrent is still not present in this country is fooling themselves.

I'm NOT trying to start a discussion here. I just wanted to say, well done.

Bless your heart Marion. Thank you. Your comments mean more to mean than all those others. I am glad you feel that way. Enough said I guess.

Thanks for the "bless your heart", I'll happily take any blessings sent my way. But to call me an "angel" tells me you must be emotionally overwrought, as many of us are.

Let's not start a thread about the qualities of angels !

jray,

I don't know why you'd be inclined to "puke" ?

Did you read the thread that I referenced ?

Care to elaborate ?

I apologize...I read the last 4 comments before my post, therefore my comment which was in jest. I should have used one of those smiley face thingies.

Everybody "get the bucket" if you are so inclined.

Since I don't post on the cruise forum, I thought I would post here to express my feelings and observations to Jacketwatch.

Someone could probably sell me one of those bridges, because it is hard for me to know what is sarcasm or tongue in cheek here.

I post with honesty and compliment when I think someone has observed the bigger picture.

Am I off topic sometimes, of course. But will I stand on my record here of trying to be helpful...yes.

Faith..

I speak for myself ( as always !) and acknowledge that I may be on edge these days. I am distraught about what is happening in the aftermath of Katrina.

My comments to Jacketwatch were intended to support his view of *where do we go from here*.

Anyone who has read any of my posts for the last few years, should know that my heart and my politics are on my proverbial sleeve.

You are one of my favorite people here and not just because you're an open-minded Canadian and a wonderful mother ! You speak the truth !!

PEACE

Marion

I've noticed that Faith tends to be the cheery one all the time. When things get a little rough on here..she tends to calm things down. And always has something funny to say.
