HOw would you compare the beaches in Turks and Caicos to Bermuda?

HI everyone,

We had a wonderful time in Provo, Turks and Caicos last July. Hopefully, we will go again this summer. Hubby wants to try a different island, but the beach (Grace Bay) was so stunning, I am hesitant to go anywhere else!

The beach is the absolute most important thing to me in my vacation. I don't care about nightlife, shopping, etc. As long as the water is crystal clear and clean (no seaweed) I am happy.

With that said, would I be happy in Bermuda? Are the beaches similiar to Grace Bay in Provo, TCI? IF they are or they aren't, can you explain?

Any details you have to share are most appreciated. Also, I am totally open to hearing about other islands. Like I said before, if the beach is beautiful, clean and turquoise, thats all I care about!!

Thanks for your responses!

Denise

Denise, We're going to T&C in 4 weeks so we only have heard wonderful reposrts of their beaches. However, Anguilla has much better beaches in my opinion than Bermuda, Jamaica, Barbados, Tortola, St. Martin, PR, Bonaire & St. Lucia

Been to both and the beaches are very different. Bermuda has picturesque "cove" like beaches with lots of cliffs, large rocks, etc. Water is turquoise. As you know, Grace Bay beach is one long spectacular beach. Bermuda as an island has much more to offer (it's the prettiest island I have seen) and you will probably find it more expensive, especially in summer which is Bermuda's high season. I love both places, they are just very different.

I agree, Bermuda is a very different island than Anguilla, that has drop dead beaches, similar to Provo Grace Bay. We go to Anguilla, but we love the beaches, clarity of the water, pink sand, little coves on Bermuda. One of these days I will get to the Turks, but the island that has the closest to the beaches of the Provencials is Anguilla.
But do try Bermuda, it is a sophisticated little gem!

A beach I thought was gorgeous was on the Island of Grenada. I have been to T&C. It was Jan. and the water was somewhat cold. I went in once only to snorkel. Bermuda is gorgeous but somewhat different than the Caribbean. Horseshoe Bay was a small beach, but the water was wonderful.

If you are in love with the beautiful beaches in Turks, then don't even think that you will be happy with the beaches in Bermuda. I assumed that they would be comparable and was severely disappointed.
