Hotels in Guadeloupe, Anguilla or St. Thomas

So, after an exhausting search for a cool hotel in St. Barths to add on to our other 2 island stops, I am checking out other options. We haven't been to Guadeloupe in years and are considering it.
Any hotel suggestions would be very appreciated and useful. Thanks....The reason that we are considering Guadeloupe again is for the lushness of the island and the rainforest hike!

On St. Barts we have stayed at Hotel Baie des Anges on Baie des Flammands and at Emeraude Plage on Baie St. Jean. This was in the 90s. I am a teacher and at that time we found the prices affordable. On Anguilla we like Blue Waters on Shoal Bay West, especially after April 15, when prices drop dramatically. We also like Allamanda Beach Club on Shoal Bay (East), affordable even in winter. We never pay more than $200. a night.

In St.Barths did you find a/c? I find that it is necessary, at least for me , in the summer. BTW I am also a teacher!

Thanks for the info, as I am researching right now.

Both of those properties on St. Barts had a.c. at the time we went. One of our trips was in the summer and we were fine with the a.c. .

Although I didn't stay in this hotel, I believe Le Jardin Malanga in Guadeloupe is a very nice place to stay and it's on my list when I return. Certainly the area of Trois Rivieres is lovely and convenient for hiking or visiting the volcano and for trips to Les Saintes (you can see the islands on a clear day-it's quite a lovely view).
