Honeymooning at Sandals WHICH ONE???

We are planning our Honeymoon at Sandals and possibly getting married there as well. Which Sandals is the best. Does anyone have stories about
getting married there or about honeymooning at Sandals????

Well, it all depends on what kind of atmosphere you're looking for. We've been to the Sandals in St. Lucia (La Toc) and Sandals Negril in Jamaica. Both resorts were wonderful; the beach was better in Negril, the food was better in St. Lucia. E-mail me if you have any specific questions

All the Sandals have a different atmosphere so you have to know what kind of holiday you want to have. Royal Carribean is very quiet and tends to attract an older crowd. Montego Bay is fairly lively. It also seems to follow that old rule of no buildings taller than the palm trees which I think makes it more tropical than the Ocho Rio high rise party atmosphere. We are fairly quiet people who read on vacation for exercise and we liked Montego Bay the best. The staff is very good to find you a quiet table if they realize you are not a rowdy couple.
I wouldn't recommend getting married there. If you don't want a big wedding, do it at the courthouse with a J.P. and have a few family or friends. We were allowed 25 guests. I even got to walk up the aisle and had a photographer take a few photos.
At the resort you will be just another one of the "brides-of-the -day". Besides who wants to be compared to the others on what should be your day. (ie. "The 2:00 couple were better looking but this one has a nice dress, don't you think, Harry?" Have fun!

I honeymooned at St. Lucia Sandals (La Toc). It was fabulous, and I cannot think of a word good enough for the FOOD! They definitely do not skimp! La Toc is much more active than the Sandals/Halcyon, also on St. Lucia, where we had dinner. Halcyon seemed more laid back, perhaps with a calmer, older crowd. Word has it that Sandals Antigua is also wonderful.

Skip Sandals and go to Couples near Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It too is an all-inclusive with weddings. The food is fantastic and there are many amenities included with the trip. Been there twice and would like to return, but we're saving up for Europe.

I may be an unusual traveler, but staying in a Sandals "all inclusive" location anywhere is like being in a detension center for a week. No matter how many things there are to do, it gets boring. They're all the same--eat, drink, volleyball, swimming, drink, eat and sleep and then do it all again. Why not try to see where you are going. You can always exercise at home. Just one point of view.

I'm a little late to this thread, but we got married at Sandals MoBay and I wouldn't trade it for the world. It was fabulous! I'd highly recommend it. I've heard that the Dunn's River and Ocho Rios properties are a little nicer, but we live in Seattle and by the time our plane landed, I'd have just died if we'd had to travel the 2 hour bus ride to that side of the island. We were quite happy to arrive, and very happy with the property. Our only disappointment was that our travel agent never mentioned that it is at the end of the runway. After about 6 hours we got used to it and hardly noticed. The last flight in/out was in the early evening, so it wasn't like it kept us awake at night.
