My fiance and I are having a hard time decideing between Barbados Almond Club and Spa or Sandals St. Luica Golf Resort and Spa. We don't know anyone who has been to either. We are planning on going in the beginning of December. Any thoughts?

We have been to Sandals St Lucia Golf and loved it. Beautiful resort and wonderful pool. Food very good and alot of different resturants to choose from. You can also visit the other Sandals Halcyon. I have an excursion sheet on this resort for outside excursions if you are intrested email.

I feel the same way. Great resort, good food and the bluff suites are wonderful.We spent our Honeymoon in a bluff suite with a plunge pool and had a super time. We will return to that resort again soon.

Almond Beach is not rated nearly as high as any of the Sandals.

A girlfriend of mine was married at Sandals Halcyon St. Lucia (the smaller of the two) in December of 2001 and said that she preferred Halcyon over Sandals St. Lucia because it was smaller and not as crowded. They would shuttle over to the larger resort for dinner and she said that the resort was so large that you had to wait on a shuttle to pick you up and take you where you need to go in the resort, you couldn't just walk because it was so large! She preferred the beach at Halcyon too. She recommended to stay at Halcyon and have dinner/lunch at the larger resort. I would recommend the same for you since it is your honeymoon. Don't want to rain on your parade, but there are much, much nicer places to get married, with great packages available, than either of these.
