Holiday Inn vs Breezes

There are six of us who reserved at the Trelawny and are being transferred to the Holiday Inn Sunspree because the Trelawny is not ready yet. There was also talk of being transferred to the Breezes Montego Bay or Breezes Runaway Bay. Does anyone know about any of these hotels and do you think we are getting a good deal?

Holiday Inn is nice but if you are single there are a lot of families at the Holiday Inn. Breezes is small but no one under 16 is allowed to stay there. You might like Sunset Beach. We were there this summer and had a great time. Wonderful house band and night life. Close to Montego Bay, if that is where you want to be. The rooms are clean and they have good food and drink.

Of those mentioned, Insist on Breezes Runaway Bay. The grounds are beautiful.
Better beach than the others mentioned.
It is much better for singles. Breezes Montego Bay is small and I do not think it is as nice as Runaway Bay.
I also book Sunset Beach over the Holiday Inn.

I forgot to mention that we are three couples of 50 years old. We like fun, go to the disco a few nights but are not singles. Does it change anything? We seem to be locked in to the Holiday Inn so I guess I wanted reassuring. Thank you for your comments.

While Breezes MoBay is fairly small and doesn't have the massive swim-up pool and all that some larger AIs do, it is right on Doctor's Cave beach, which is beautiful, and it's right on the main strip in MoBay which means tons of restaurants and nightlife just out the door.

The disco there is open to the public at least sometimes. We went on Ladies Night once (were staying at a villa nearby) and it was PACKED - locals, tourists, lots of energy, we had a ball. It beat any AI disco I've ever seen.

Holiday Inn Sunspree is quite a way out of town, 20-30 minutes. There may be some kind of shuttle, if not you'll need to take taxis to bars and restaurants. I don't know much about the nightlife at the Holiday Inn, years and years ago before it was AI we used to go to crab races there
<BR Liz
