our lucaya. breakers cay or reef village??

my husband, three year old daughter and myself have booked a trip here at the beginning of April for five days. We booked a room at the breakers cay, island view. (no ocean view available). I keep hearing how reef village is very family oriented, but the rooms are better at breakers cay. Will I be disappointed not staying at reef village? how far away are the two from each other? Thanks.

A group of us are heading there in March, adult couples, and were interested in finding out which rooms were nicer. Would you mind sharing your information with us? Thanks.

Reef Village and Breakers Cay are close to each other. We stayed in a standard room in Reef Village and were impressed. (apart from the bathroom which was on the small side). The ac was very good, the rooms large and clean. Apparently Breakers Cay is even nicer so i'm confident that you will be impressed. I wouldn,t worry about the view. The island view category probably means that you overlook the Marketplace which will be fine. Anyway the resort is so lovely I dodn,t think you will spend that much time looking out of your window. Happy Holidays!

Hi Shelley,

I hope the information I emailed you will give you a better perspective. The Island view will give you a view of Port Lucaya Marketplace...a standard type room, but you will probably be out of your room most of the time. The Breakers Cay section is a 4 minute walk from the entrance to the Reef Village pool section. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I can't believe that there aren't any ocean view rooms left and that they would be all booked. You might want to call the hotel directly.

Good luck.

best regards

Carrie
[email protected]
