Help with our next Caribbean vacation please!

I just returned from my honeymoon in Antigua and we had the best time! It was our first Caribbean vacation and we are already planning our next. I would like some advice on where to go next. We loved Antigua because we are the type that go for the great beaches, not lush tropical climate or great nightlife...we just want to enjoy the beach and relax. We fell in love with Antigua but want to try somewhere different. Any suggestions?

Besides Provo,

Great beaches, no nightlife could also mean Grand Cayman.

Hi Tiffany. If you are looking for beautiful beaches & relaxation with not a lot of nightlife - St. John or Virgin Gorda in the BVI are ideal. St. John is beautiful & peaceful, there is a town so you have the option of shopping or dining out. We stayed at Caneel Bay which had exquisite beaches (pricey) Virgin Gorda is very quiet, no nightlife - you will mostly stay at your resort. We stayed at Little Dix Bay(also pricey - but there are options of other resorts) An island tour is a nice day excursion, we rented a jeep ourselves and drove all around. You must go to The Baths if you go to Virgin Gorda.

If your budget is tight after the honeymoon than consider Isla Mujeres--
a small island off Cancun that would meet your specs.
Vist isla-mujeres.net
Dan

The west coast of Puerto Rico is beautiful and not very touristy at all. Rincon and Isabella. I didn't love the hotel we stayed in, but that area is so pretty and quiet. The beaches are not developed, but there are enough hotels there that you will find tourists around (and surfers). Not a huge nightlife. If you are looking for a 3 or 4 day quiet beach vacation, fly into Aquadilla and rent a car. Stay in Rincoln or Isabela and you can even do a day trip to the caves or to a phosphorescent bay.

Anguilla, Anguilla, Anguilla! The most beautiful beaches, especially Shoal Bay East. The restaurants are also great. Some super resorts are Cap Juluca, Malliouhana and Cuisanart. Good Luck!
