Hello,
Looking for help with Grenada Hotels. We are a married couple with no children, looking for a nice hotel. We do not want all-inclusive and would like ocean view.
Thanks for all your help.

Spent a week at Bel Air Plantation in Feb.
and have nothing but accolades for the property. The owner, Ms. Susan Fisher, is
extremely accommodating, as is Ms. Sandra
Martin, the front office manager. The resort
is not on a beach, but the cottages (all very
luxurious with full kitchen facilities) have
gorgeous views of an ocean bay. The food
at the restaurant is delicious, and there is a
lovely infinity swimming pool. While I did not
rent a car, I strongly recommend you do so
to be able to visit beaches, town and other
restaurants at night, if desired, for variety.
Otherwise, you will have to hire taxis all the time. This was one of the most relaxing spots I have visited, and I have been to many high end Caribbean destinations. Bel Air is very reasonable given the space and quality of the cottages. Even a cell phone was provided (without charge) for my convenience! Web site is: www.belairplantation.com and you can communicate with Susan and/or Sandra
directly by using the indicated contact information email address.

It's good not to go AI in Grenada as there are lots of good places to eat. You can get a ton of lodging advice at the forum on grenadaexplorer.com. We like the Mariposa for the location and the pool area. We've never found the food to be anything more than average but recently there have been some good reviews on the boards. Once again, the food is not important - just walk up or down the hill for good restaurants. Grenada is a great choice - enjoy your vacation.

I have not been there but another great place to look for hotels is at orbitz.com. I know that they have a hotel finder where you can plug in that you want high end hotels and then can read about them. It might be a good way to look at them all at once. When are you going?
