Help I need advice on NCL Star

We sailed The Star after NCL decided to refurbish it. It was March 97, a ten-day cruise in which the crew already had their walking papers. It was one of the most beautiful ships (we perfer the smaller ships) we had ever sailed on. The cruise, however, was plagued from the start. A passanger had a heart attack and had to be air evacuated at sea. A crew member commited suicide. A longshoreman was badly hurt during docking in Cozumel. We had storms that popped up out of nowhere. The attitude of the wait staff was, "So what? What are they going to do? Fire me." If I were ever going to believe in a jinx ship, that cruise would have done it. The ship had mechanical troubles and lists.

Would I sail on it again? I don't guess I'll ever find out. As I said, it's a beautiful, comfortable ship.
What exactly is your question?, my advice is you should be more specific if you want people to respond. Didn't you post a similiar question a while back that was also lacking in specifics as to what you were wanting to know. I have been on NCL Start twice, but unless I know specifically what it is you want to know I won't (can't) post an answer.

Sorry. I would love to hear all about your cruise. We are going on the Texarribean cruise that leaves out of Houston to the Western Carribean. Have you been on this particular cruise? I'm excited about going and would appreciate any tidbits you would wish to share.
I have been on this cruise in May. We had a great time. I would love to go again. The ship is very nice the food was great. The shore excursions were expensive but still good. Roatan is beautiful. Make sure you go snorkeling. We went on the beach excursion to the beach with NCL. We had no trouble with airconditioning or plumbing. Make sure you take a sweater because it gets kind of chilly in the dining room and theatre. Have a great time. I wish I was going again. I don't have e-mail presently so we could talk further. But if you have any other questions please ask.
My husband and I are planning on taking this cruise for our 25th anniversary. I'm hearing conflicting reports. Friends have told me to look for another cruise line. They mentioned problems with air conditioning and service. Can anyone offer advice.

Pam: I just returned from this cruise and had a wonderful time. But after our cruise the Star is going to Austalia and the Sea will be replacing her. The Sea is a larger ship. I would highly recommed this cruise. If you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me. I can tell you more about the ports of call etc....Kendra
