Help!!

My husband and I are going to Turcs and Caicos in July. What resort would be better? RWI, Ocean Club, Sands, or Coral Gardens? Which one would be closer to walk to restraurants? Thanks, SwimtoWig

All are great properties. We've been going to T&C since 1994 and have stayed, quite happily I might add, at either Ocean Club or Ocean Club West. We've investigated other properties over the years, stayed at another once and had to flee the place after 1 day, and have always, always found Ocean Club to best suit our needs. Have fun!

Ocean Club West is a bit more centrally located than Ocean Club. Stayed there in Feb. and loved it. There's also a free shuttle between the 2 resorts.

My family recently returned from a trip to Ocean Club West. We loved it. We had a two bedroom condo on the first floor. It was close to the pool and the beach. OCW is also nice because it is in walking distance to Port of Call shopping area. We didn't have a rental car most of the time so we enjoyed having restraurants in walking distance. There is construction going on right now on both sides of OCW, but the noise never bothered me.

Thanks for your help!! We will do Ocean Club West. We are so excited. I have wanted to do TC for five years!! Can't wait to see the beach. Sounds as if we can walk to eat and shuttle between the two. CAN'T WAIT!!

Check out http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g...Vacations.html for trip reports for each of the resorts. I believe construction is ongoing on both sides of OCW.

I would also suggest reading Trip Advisor. We have been twice, looked at other resorts and stayed at RWI both times. The resort is a bit smaller then the OC/OCW, but newer and a very friendly staff. I like the idea of less people, especially when I want to get away too relax.
Trip Advisor will give you the size of the resort, number of reviews, and the overall ranking.

We just returned form T & C 5/29/05. I must say Ocean Club West was very nice.
Best beach I've been other than Hawaii.
We ate at all restaurants on Ocean Club
property. My favorite was Ecko.Excellent Surf & Turf. It is walking distance to shops and other restaurants.Gecko Shuttle can take you to Hemingways, 21 North and Mango Reef. But if you're a walker, you can do that.
Afetr viewing other resorts, Ocean Club West I found to be the best. The grounds
are beautiful, the staff efficient and friendly. The room was nice and especially the stove and fridge came in very handy. We shopped at IGA and bought
cooked food, rotiserre chicken and ribs, beans and rice and salad and ate in. Also bacon and eggs and fixed breakfas 2 mornings. Heinenken was
$45.99 a case of 24. Fortunately we took our own. We reported to the customs
agent expecting to pay duty, but they told us to go on. Sme things are over =-priced (like beer) and other things
were ok. My only bad time was being eaten by mosquitoes after it rained
at night - 2 times. Sunshine the rest
of the time. Excellent vacation. Can't wait until we go again.

Swimtowig: Once you return, please post your experience. We leave soon for 2 weeks in Provo and can hardly wait. BTW, we're staying at Ocean Club West (OCW). In the meantime, travel safely and have fun!!!
