We didn't stay there, but we did have lunch there one day. It has very nice beaches, and seemed like a nice laid back atmosphere. I liked the looks of it a lot.

Dear Eric: My spouse and I stayed at
Hawksbill for 1 week and enjoyed it TREMENDOUSLY! Very European and continental guests, 3 beaches. (one of which is nude). Premises are
very very lovely. I, myself, did not enjoy the town of Antigua as it appeared very run down. Hired a driver to take us around as if we wanted to rent a car (which we normally do) the roads weren't the best. You will need to hire a driver or rent a car if you desire to leave the premises. Because we couldn't "run around", we did take their meal plan and it was great! Hawksbill is considered upscale. When we were there (2-3 years ago) Americans were not their "favorite" people although I was told that the Americans are the best tippers
However they were very gracious to us and we had lovely accommodations (end unit) and I would go back to Hawksbill if it was in any other place but Antigua. If you want any further infos, please feel free to e-mail. Have fun!

Dear Eric....My reply to you never got posted so, here I go again....My spouse and I stayed at Hawksbill for 1 week and enjoyed it tremendously. Very European, continental guests. Not too many Americans when we were there as we were told that they are not a lover of Americans, although we "tip" the best. However, they were very lovely and cordial to us. Hawksbill has 3 beaches, 1 of which is nude. We took the meal plan as this time we did not rent a car but hired a driver, which of course was costly, so you pretty much have to eat on the premises if you don't drive. The food was excellent when we were there. I did not like the town of Antigua however I did enjoy their small casino in which I learned my favorite game "Caribbean Poker". I did not like the town because we were there in "Carnival" time and it appeared to be pretty run down looking and the roads were truly in terrible conditions. If Hawksbill was in any other place but Antigua, I would go back to the resort as it truly was very lovely, relaxing, etc. Hawksbill is considered an "upscale" resort. We had an end unit (no air conditioning, TV, etc.) and believe it or not, we did not miss it! By the way, no door on the shower but privacy in the toilet. If you want any further infos, please e-mail me. I too will be leaving this June for vacation...CAT ISLAND...in the bahamas. Have a marvelous time and as I said, if you want any further infos, please e-mail me....I hope you get this!
