HAve you done Super Surprise? Please read this:

I am thinking about a trip to Hedonism II or III. I was wondering how often the Super Surprise sends you to Hedonism. THought that might (given a risk that you go to another resort which is still a great place to go) be the cheapest way to go to Hedonism? If you have gone, whenre did you go? Your thoughts on my idea?

I've heard that a lot of times Hedos are both sold out. You could get Breezes...I would consider Breezes MoBay a disaster. Maybe you'd get CO at a Lido....

I don't believe that you would have much of a chance getting a room on the AN or CO side at one of the Lido resorts an SuperSurprise. They give you the ROH assignment, generally a garden-view room of some sort. And, at Sans Souci, where you have all the "free" spa treatments, SS customers are excluded from them also, as of January 1, 2001.

I have been seeing on some of the other boards where Super Surprise customers ARE getting assignment to H-III and H-II recently.

If you really, really want to go to the Hedos and would be disappointed otherwise, it would be wise to just go ahead and book it directly! The Super Surprise is just the luck of the draw, and they can change their minds about where you are going right up to the time when you board to bus to the resort at the airport!

http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/thegran...isitorshangout

I just took this message from the Superclubs Visitors Hangout on Yahoo!

http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/superclubsvisitorshangout

Surprise - Got our destination !!! judyndoug
(38/F/Southern New Jersey) 1/10/01 11:16 pm
Surprisingly enough we learned of our SuperSurprise destination today and we do not arrive in Jamaica until January 25! We booked directly on line with SuperClubs and received our travel documents and itinerary today in the mail. The voucher says Hedonism III. I called SuperClubs to be sure the information was accurate and the person I spoke to was surprised that we were assigned a resort so early. She double checked our reservation number and verified that we had drawn Hedo III. We have been to GLB, GLSS and Swept Away (Negril) but never to a Hedo. We would have gladly gone back to GLB or GLSS however are pleased to be checking out a new resort. I know this is primarily a Lido board but any info would be appreciated (although DennyP's website is chockful). Time to begin researching Hedo III!! Fortunately there is a TON of info and trip reports on line.

All you other Surprisers let us know where you end up!!

Judy and Doug

PS: Truth be told - we are a bit nervous!!!

View Replies to this Message
Check www.dennyp.com out. It is an excellent web site for all Caribbean Islands, including Hedos 2 and 3. There is a message board where you can read all those questions and answered posted there. I would recommend that you disregard what people have told you about Hedos 2 and 3, and do your own research. If you know when you would be going, check the visitor's schedule at www.dennyp.com, and email your questions to those who will be there the same week you will be there. You will be surprised at the amount of email you receive! Repeaters at Hedos 2 and 3 are the most friendly people on the earth! THAT is why we keep going back!
It Would be the cheapest way to go to one of the Hedo resorts - IF you end up there. That, of course, is the risk you take; that you will end up elsewhere.

You can ask a travel agent where most people are being assigned right now, but it may change before you go. When we booked our S.S.+ (we eliminated Breezes, MoBay for an extra charge), most were being assigned G.L. Braco I believe. Now it seems most are being sent to Hedo 3. We leave today, for Hedo 3, and received our resort info 5 days ago. The latest I've heard of anyone being contacted was 2 days in advance. I haven't spoken to anyone who was told when they were actually In Jamaica boarding the bus as one post said, it seems unlikely, but I suppose it's possible.

If you're willing to take the chance of winding up at Any of the SuperClub resorts then I would say, "Go for it!" If there's one you would really prefer Not to stay at, then I'd recommend adding the "plus" portion for about $10 pppn. Whatever way you decide to do it, have a terrific time!

Respect

Proabably a stupid question but . . . Can you do the Super Surprise with a group of 3 couples? In otherwords if we all 3 book with the same travel agent and do surprise can we make sure we all get the same resort? We don't care as much where we go, just that we go together

We did a SS+ March 9-19, we were placed at Breezes Runaway Bay (eliminated Breezes Montego Bay). I have been following the posts at the Yahoo Clubs Grand Lido visitors & Super Clubs Visitors Hangout (check it out) some people get placed at HedoIII, few at II, many at the Lido's/It is a gamble, I would book direct if that is what you want, we toured HedoIII, its beautiful!
