I am planning on staying at Grotto Bay in August w/my 2 sons (13 & 15) & my husband. I have heard many wonderful things about GB, but recently I have read posts about bugs, & not so nice rooms & I'm starting to panic!! Has anyone been there recently?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Lisa

I'll be going to Grotto in August for my 4th stay, 5th in Bermuda. I personally love Grotto and have never had a problem w/bugs. You will have a wonderful time.

Lisa, <BR>We stayed at Grotto 2 years ago and did have a problem with Palmetto bugs. We found 2 in our room but requested they spray which they did and we were fine for the entire week.It may have been our fault that they found their way into our room as we had the balcony door open.The bugs are a part of the tropical life. No fault of Grotto. We had a wonderful time here and the rooms were very clean.Do not be afraid to go. I hope you are going all inclusive as the food is expensive.Enjoy your visiit!

I just got back from Grotto Bay yesterday. I found the hotel to be clean and comfortable - no bugs to my knowledge. The rooms are fine, too. I hope you have a goof time. Make sure you try the Swizzle Inn - it's only next door and the swizzles make the hotel ones taste like water!! Are you going all inclusive to Grotto Bay?
