Hi,

My husband and I are considering either of these two islands for a winter getaway. On St. Kitts we are considering Timothy Beach Resort and on Grenada La Source. I love the idea of the pampering at La Source but wonder about the all-inclusive meal plan since I love to be able to check out the different delicious island cuisine. Can anyone tell me if they have any preferences for one island or the other (they both appeal given lush scenery)

We have been going to Timothy Beach Resort for many years. It is the only resort on the calm caribbean beach. It is not all-inclusive and you get an excellent value for your money. There are 5 different restaurants in the Frigate Bay area plus many more in and around Basseterre. If you are budget minded, Timothy Beach Resort has full kitchens in the 1 and 2 bedroom units plus the open air restaurant overlooking the beach. Spend a day on one of the catamaran trips to Nevis or take a day trip to Nevis on the ferry. I can't speak of Grenada but you'll love St. Kitts

Went to St. Kitts once a few years ago; have been to Grenada 4 times, so you can see where my preference lies. Nothing wrong with St. Kitts, but Grenanda is a larger island with a lot more to see and do - and some decent island restaurants. Instead of an all-inclusive at La Source, which is a bit out of the way, why not try someplace like Spice Island?

Grenada is one of my favorite islands. I agree, all inclusive is not the way to go. There are a number of good places to eat and it would be a shame to miss the experience. The Spice Island is lovely but, last I knew, it is all inclusive.

My husband & I just got back from St Kitts 3 weeks ago & stayed at Timothy Beach Resort. We can't say enough about the island & the resort!!! Wonderful!!! We have never been to Grenada but we absolutely loved St Kitts..everyone was great that worked at the resort & take advantage of the catamaran trip to Nevis.
