who says that the host country or island has to LOVE us. I don't go looking for love or people to fall all over me!<BR>Whit posted his experience. It was his experience. Certainly not the normal experience and who knows why. It didn't work out. I'm sure everyone has had a less than perfect vacation even in places where everyone thinks it was perrrrrrrrrfect. Shit happens! Move on.

Surprised is right. The turksandcaicosexposed website makes about as much sense as whit's post does. If you're going to discredit an entire island country, you have to be literate, factual and complete. That website reads like a bunch of pop-up ads, doesn't make much sense at all...hey kinda like whit's uninformative post! So, whit, care to comment on WHY you felt like a criminal opening up a bank account outside of your own country? I also did a search and found not one query from you on this board regarding the Salt Raker. You say you found the place "via Fodor's" yet there are many posts proclaiming Grand Turk to be very quiet, and for divers only. Too bad your research stopped with one paragraph from the Fodor's guide.<BR><BR>To Mary: Your criticisms of St. Lucia on this board were well-founded and well-spoken. Don't put yourself in the same class as whit - your type of negative report is welcome here because you backed it up. Whit has done nothing of the kind, IMHO!

I would just like everyone to know that we just returned from a 9 night stay on Grand Turk (Feb. 7, 2004). Salt Raker Inn is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT/NEW OWNERSHIP! We met plenty of friendly locals and had NO problem with security or attitude or ANYTHING. I was the manager in question I remember you and your family. You stayed upstairs North Side. There was a musical event on that night and you had three daughters (Teens) They flirted with some of the local youth from the balcony. I spent half my night kicking them out but they seemed to rcv some encouragement. I am sorry it was a bad experience but I remember you were rude and the behaviour of your group caused its own problem.
