Phyllis,
From April 15th till December 15th is the low season, and the cost of things on the island are half of what you pay during the high season. Also, a lot less people during that time. From April until August, the weather is great, and usually very little rain. Starting in September thru November, there's a chance for rainy days, not to mention hurricane season. I think April, May, and June are the best! July and August are HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!
Sandy

Phyllis,

Amy and I go to the Caymans in May. Very Little rain and you pretty much have the beach to yourself if you rent a condo on the north end of the beach. You can get a great deal on a condo at Discovery Point Club. A beachfront condo cost us about $180 per night (if you stay 7 nights). Our condo overlooked the ocean, we had the beach to ourselves and we loved it.

Roger

Hi Sandy & Roger,
Thank you for your replies. I did a check at Travelocity comparing monthly rates, and you guys are right on the money. For the 4 of us, the difference in package price can be up to $1,000. for Easter week vs. waiting and going in May. I would need to take my kids out of school for a week though. Haven't done that since they were very young, but it's something I'm considering.
Thanks again for the information.

Phyllis,

Keep in mind that although May thru December is a great time to go beacause of prices and crowds, May does officially start the rainy season. We went in May of 2000 and encountered 4 out of 10 days of rain. Guess you need to just get lucky in that regard. We really enjoyed our trip, regardless of the rain. Also, we were able to rent a car, and drive to a sunny part of the island on two of those 4 rainy days!!
