The Golden Lemon was sold by the long-time owners to the (relatively) new owner of Rawlins Plantation. I remember reading that he was going to change the name.
I read a review of the mother's day brunch at the Golden Lemon from last May and unfortunately the inn had not been fixed up and the meal was average at best.
If you can't find recent reviews or information, you might want to consider other places to stay if you're going in the near future.
We now go to Nevis and love it.

For what it is worth, we went to Rawlins for a weekend last "season" to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was very disappointing.
Upon arrival around 4PM our room was not "prepared". We were shown a room with no sheets on the bed, no linens nor amenities in the bathroom and dust all over the furnishings. An hour later we finally got into the room only to discover we had no hot water. We made several complaints but it wasn't remedied until late the following day. It seems another couple in our party also didn't have hot water in their unit and management somehow confused our complaint with the other couple's complaint. Anyway, after several cold showers and more complaining they finally discovered that, in her haste to clean and set up our room the afternoon before, the housekeeper failed to turn on the water heater to our unit.
The food was mediocre at best and service was non-existent. At dinner the first night our party of 8 was served in a slap-dash manner with some people not getting their appetizers until well after others in the party were given their entrees. Service was so S-L-O-W It literally took us over 3 hours to finish a 3 course meal (soup, chicken or fish entree and a cake for dessert.). The food was bland and strangely was all the same color - white - soup was a tasteless white cucumber puree, the entree was either a skinless chicken breast or filet of some local fish served with a bland white sauce, steamed cauliflower and a piece of boiled potato all served on a white dish. Dessert was a piece of non-inspired cake with white frosting. Very odd, indeed.
We could not wait for the weekend to end so we could leave. We will never go back.

RoamsAround,
Just noticed your account of your stay at Rawlins. It's such a shame that this beautiful inn has fallen on hard times since the ownership changed. We returned once after that, and while it was not good, it wasn't as bad as your experience. We, and other long-time guests, now go to Nevis.
