Girls Long Weekend Suggestions?
My friend and I would like to celebrate her separation with a kid free long weekend somewhere warm. We're thinking 3 or 4 nights, nice beach with some activity offered, some dancing, people to meet, maybe a casino. We're flexible on budget, but I'm overwhelmed trying to plan. Any suggestions of a place and resort name? All inclusive would be great for ease of planning.

Depends on where you are flying from, but for a quick trip, we like the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo in the Mayan Riviera, Aruba Radisson Resort is nice, the Marriott on Curacao is also great, maybe look at the Rock House in Negril. All are very enjoyable.

I second the recommendation of the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo or any of the Iberostar resorts If you REALLY want to treat yourselves, try the Iberostar Grand of Secrets Maroma. They are both top of the line adults only all inclusives with lots of pampering.

Ahh, the island of Curacao would fit what you are looking for. Close your eyes and picture yourself and your friend laying beside a pool and drinking margarita's. You could even read that novel you've been wanting to get to.
Lots of activites, great nightlife, and friendly people (we socialized with some locals out celebrating a birthday)
The Marriott has a nice beach and a casino. They do offer a type of AI as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm still looking! I checked out the Iberostar Grand and Secrets Maroma, but they don't come with high reviews for singles. Now, we won't be "hooking up" (we're in our 30s and a little over that scene, not to mention that I'm married and my girl friend is VERY recently seperated), but it would be nice to meet friendly people at the bar and maybe dance a little. Mostly, I don't want to get stuck at either an all couples resort or have kids running around. Does anyone have any feed back on Gran Melia or Temptation Resort in Cancun?

Thank you to everyone for the advice. I finally booked us at Dreams in Cancun. It seems to have a little bit of everything. The Royal Playa del Carmin actually looks possibly MORE perfect, but I wasn't able to find a good package over New Year's Eve (we decided on our dates just this Sunday). I'll be sure to post a review of Dreams to try to pay it forward as thanks for the input through the planning stage of the trip!
