My dad executed the idea and he said he would rather just take a ferry from Little Dix Bay to Ritz Carlton St. Thomas or Caneel Bay... I guess I can't complain. Caneel Bay seems to lack something...maybe its the pool or just that the room buildings look like army tenements to me.

We'll never stay at Caneel Bay just for the reasons you've indicated. We've also heard it's not much in the way of "beach service".
