Round Hilla Villas in Montego is a beautiful property--celebrities vacation there. To me luxury is great but an all around positive experience is best--no stuffiness, great beach, excellent cuisine and attitude of staff and management--sometimes "luxury" resorts don't meet that criteria.

okay, who is this Hulbert character? Do you offer any suggestions other than Turks and Caicos. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful group of islands, just returned from Provo, but, buddy, enough is enough.......<BR><BR>

<BR>Try something different, a crewed charter. That price range would get you a nice catamaran with a crew of two and the boat all to yourselves. You'll enjoy gourmet dining and you're waited on hand and foot. Different beaches daily, busy or deserted, your choice. No worries about anything, everything is done for you. You can choose a boat with tons of water toys for alot of activity or you can find one with a hammock to park yourself in for a week.<BR><BR>Do a google search for "crewed charter" and start looking at the boats. I reccomend using a yacht broker who sees the boats at the boat shows and knows the crews. No charge for their services and they can offer some valuable information and insights in addition to their services.

Hurlbutt is a commercial troll who sells villas and real estate in T&C. He's trying to drum up business. If I did that for my business I'd be rolled out of here on a stretcher. Best bet: look at his advice but book elsewhere.

I don't advise people to come or not to come to the Turks and Caicos. I just make mention my opinions of it. I'm sure some of you will agree with my posting. I'm not advertising!!!<BR>The only places I mention Turks and Caicos are where they are appropriate.<BR><BR>I'd never recommend Turks and Caicos to vacationers whom are looking to have alot of nite light on the islands itself.<BR><BR>I do indeed talk of the Turks and Caicos alot....especially because it is so small and people often times confuse it to be a part of the bahamas. WE ARE SO MUCH DIFFERENT.<BR>There are some people that I've spoken to that know of Providenciales..but don't know of Turks and Caicos..HEHE<BR><BR>And there are some People that Know of Grace Bay but Don't know of Providenciales.<BR><BR>I do think though that this is a great place to make mention of Turks and Caicos. Especially for making its presence, quality and benifits know.<BR><BR>Ever notice there are No posting regarding Turks and Caicos in regards to its people...and being hassled.<BR><BR>Again, I'm sorry that you feel that there is too much of TCI posting by me..HEhe...and that its only commercial troll. Le Toiny at St. Barts...12 cottages each with its own pool.

Le Toiny looks really nice.... but the question is BEACH resort, not HILLSIDE resort

Le Toiney is a beach resort, we spent two weeks there last July, better than heaven, and we walked down to the beach every morning and did amazing snorkelling, it is also a surfer's beach with nice waves. The nicest beach in St. Barths in terms of sand is Saline which has no development of any kind, just a big aqua bathtub. The island is tiny, it is just a ten minute ride in a little toy car from Le Toiney. We loved our own little beach in front of Le Toiney, though, and spent many romantic moments there all alone.

We've been on many beach vacations. I loved the French Polynesian Islands - Moorea and Bora Bora. The right time of year you can do it for $6,000. Truly my most favorite vacation. Great for couples.<BR>Theresa

A room with a shared bath runs only $65 a night (plus 8% govt tax of course). 7th night free! Continental breakfast included, and view of the cruise ships from the upper level! Don't go to one of those plastic resorts where they spritz you with Evian and spoon feed you sorbet on the beach... instead immerse yourself into the REAL Caribbean!
