Flights to Tobago

My wife and are I scheduled to use a timeshare exchange on the Island of Tobago beginning December 26, 2008. However, i am having an awful time finding flights wherein travel time would be less than 19 hours. We recognize the cost would be outrageous, but right now we are trying to check out travel time for flights. Any suggestions?

It's difficult to give you any meaningful advice without knowning where you are flying from. While 19 hours elapse time may seem long it's really all relative to the distance you have to travel.

Use websites like Expedia, Travelocity or Orbitz to find out which airlines fly there from your nearest gateway city. You can then check directly with the respective airline websites to perhaps "tweak" the itinerary that works best for you. Depending on your departure city you'll probably find that there won't be any non-stop flights so you'll have to make one or more intermediate stops to catch a connecting flight or you may have to 'overnight" somewhere enroute.

I don't know where you are flying from but I do know BWIA has flights that go from Fort Lauderdale or Miami to Tobago.
check with them.

Tobago has always been high on my 'Next Island' list but travel time from the US always drops it down in the ranking. There are very few flights to Tobago with most going to Port O Spain on Trinidad.Check the MyTobago site for air travel information:

It's a pain to get to Tobago. When doing research for my own trip, I found I had to spend the night in Trinidad before taking the next flight out to Tobago with a local airline. This is from NY/NJ area.

I know Delta was offering new non-stops once a week from Atlanta to Tobago. I don't know if that's still the case since all the airlines are cutting back on flights.

It's very easy and cheap to get to Tobago. Once you have your ticket to POS, Trinidad, book a $48 R/T ticket with www.Caribbean-airlines.com. They have flights every hour or so starting at about 6am with the last flight around 10pm.

Just confirming. The $48 R/T fare is available up to the last minute for any flight that's not sold out. They fly this route about every 45 minutes or so. On time and "No Problem Mon!"

consider spending the night in miami. caribbean air has a 5 1/2hr flt to tobago at 3:30pm.
or fly miami to trinidad at 10:40am to 3:10pm on american, and fly over for $73 on Carribean Airlines at 4:05pm or 5:25pm in 25 mins. there is a 3:30 flt but i doubt you could get through luggage & customs in time.
