Lisa:
Since you said part of the vacation will be Orlando, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you will be going to Disney World. If so, then you might want to check into Disney Cruise prices, you may be able to get some combination deal on the cruise if you are attending the Disney parks.
In response to your question about Florida resorts, the beaches on the Atlantic side are wavy, the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico side have calmer waters and whiter sand. Good places for families are Clearwater Beach, Ft. Myres/Sanibel/Captiva area and Marco Island. No all inclusives like in the Caribbean, but many lodging options from hotels to condominuims. Condos will have kitchens, but probably no kid's clubs. Good luck

Thank you all for your replies!!

I'm still working on this one!!

The price I got from FDR's was still a great price it's just the UK airfare which is really costly DIY. I don't know how that TA managed to get his prices so low although I believe Holiday Inn Sunspree is probably only a 3* rather than the advertised 4* but at £3400 for everything seems a pretty good deal. I had a look on Expedia and costed up multiple bookings and I'm getting quotes for £3600 indirect flights only(TA is quoting £3400 for all inclusive holiday with direct flights!)

I'm gonna keep on looking for the best possible flight deals and if I can't better them it looks like we'll be heading to the Holiday Inn Sunspree!!

Speak soon,

Lisa
